Seminar Women's Agency in Rural Development
Planning Culture in Transition?
How do planning and development processes emerge in rural areas – and what role do women play in shaping them? This seminar explores women's agency in politics, public administration, regional development, planning, and civil society. Students develop a theoretical framework, conduct literature reviews and qualitative expert interviews, and analyse different levels of planning culture. The findings are evaluated and translated into both academic outputs and dialogue-oriented working materials. The seminar forms part of the scientific preparation for the 6th International Women's Conference 2027 at BOKU University and combines research, teaching, and practice.
