Transferable Skill: Basic Skills in Dealing with Organisations
Fundamentals of Management and Organisational Psychology
Our division-of-labour society exists and functions only because of the multitude of organisations that provide products and services. Acquiring organisational competence means gaining a better understanding of processes within organisations and taking on a key role in shaping one's own working environment. The course covers various perspectives on organisations as well as key elements such as structure and culture, people and teams as performance factors, paradoxes and decision-making myths, and so on. Alongside theoretical input, individual organisational phenomena are simulated in practice. In the first session we form teams, which then examine different organisations on the basis of various questions and present their findings in the seminar.
