Design Studio Supergrätzl 2.0

The design exercise Supergrätzl 2.0 creates visions of how Gründerzeit areas in the 10th, 15th and 16th districts of Vienna can be developed further. The approaches of the “Superblocks” from Barcelona and the Viennese translation “Supergrätzl” will be expanded and the question of the transformation of the building level within a new type of superblock structure will also be posed. Before the design part, an intensive analysis phase on the structural genesis of the selected blocks and quarters will be carried out in cooperation with the Austrian Academy of Sciences. These analyses will provide valuable insights for the further development of the building structures.
