Daniel Löschenbrand studied architecture at the TU Wien after completing an apprenticeship as a structural draughtsman, including periods abroad in Weimar and Paris. After several years of practical experience in an architectural office in Vienna, he returned to the TU Wien as a project assistant for the international research project EMC2 and is now active in research and teaching on various topics. His research activities relate to the topics: Urban Parterre, Urban Streetscapes, 15-Minute-City, Urban Metabolism, City Information Modeling CIM, Linear Settlement Structures in Peri-urban and Rural Areas as well as on the topic of Food Urbanism.
Since 2021 he has been working on his Ph.D., participating in international conferences and writing papers and book chapters. In addition to the EMC2 research project, he is also part of the research project SSSEIC (StreetScapes for a Social Ecological Inclusive City) and was also involved in the recently completed research project Food Atlas Vienna.
