Angelika Psenner is Professor for Urban Structure Research at TU Wien. She studied architecture in Vienna, Paris and NYC, completed a postgraduate degree in sociology at the Institute for Advanced Studies Vienna, obtained her doctorate in urban planning and sociology at the TU Wien and habilitated in 2019 with Venia Docendi for urban planning.
Her academic work has received several awards, including the Elise-Richter funding of the Austrian Science Fond; the Hochschuljubiläumsstiftungs-Prize of the City of Vienna; Research Grant of the international Research Centre for Cultural Studies; Dr Maria Schaumayer Research Grant and Theodor Körner Research Grant.
Angelika Psenner teaches and conducts research on urban structures of the 19th-21st century, on open-use building structures, on the perception of architecture and public space, on negotiations of mobility and place loyalty in urban discourse, on the urban food theme, as well as the 15-minute city and, finally, she is methodically involved with City Information Modelling CIM.
