Project Assistant
Jakob Pesendorfer holds a Master of Science (cum laude) in Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences from TU Delft. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Spatial Planning from TU Wien, where he also worked as a student assistant at the future.lab. He gained professional experience in local and internationally operating planning, architecture, and urban design offices in Vienna, Zurich, and Munich.
His research and publication activities focus on the intersection of urban design, urban and regional planning, with a particular emphasis on the spatial-functional relationships throughout territorial and local scales. Through this multi-scalar perspective, he develops a systemic approach that explores alternatives beyond conventional planning frameworks. Since 2026 he serves as the Founder and Chair of the "AG Urbanism" network at the CCCA – Climate Change Centre Austria, an inter-university platform bringing together researchers from TU Wien, BOKU University, and the University of Arts Linz to advance national and international discourse on Urbanism.
