Manuel Singer studied architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, completed a postgraduate MA in Research Architecture at Goldsmiths College, University of London, and graduated with a PhD in Visual Culture. He worked in architectural practices in Vienna and London before starting to work in independent, collaborative practice on urban planning and theoretical research projects. Manuel Singer was Senior Scientist at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Post-Doc Senior Scientist at the University of Innsbruck, and external lecturer at the TU Wien before taking up his position here at the Research Unit of Urban Design. His teaching includes the supervision of urban design projects in the undergraduate program, the master's program in architecture and individual diploma theses.
