The landuni is an educational cooperation between the TU Wien and the federal state of Lower Austria with the aim of conducting practical and project-related research in and for rural areas. Together we deal with regional challenges, future issues, trends and technologies. Drosendorf in the north-eastern Waldviertel (Horn district) is the pilot region of the landuni for 2.5 years.
Drosendorf, with its striking topographical location in the Thayaschleife, a closed town wall and a rich history, not only with the establishment of a summer resort at the turn of the century, but also with the cross-border Thayatal National Park, the region offers potential from which researchers and students can learn, gain input and give back added value.
The landuni makes the creativity and innovation potential of the countryside visible, enters into a lively exchange, retells the future story of the countryside and becomes an innovation hub.
