A multi-species design approach
“From Rail to Trail” views urban infrastructure not as a barrier, but as an opportunity. The Südbahn will be transformed into a green corridor, making Mödling climate-resilient, biodiverse, and designed with a “multi-species approach.” Through green space corridors and the revitalization of urban areas, Mödling will become a city that is ecologically and socially sustainable.
Project Goals
The project pursues a climate-resilient, holistic approach that includes all living beings. The goal is to make the city more resilient, promote biodiversity, and bring people closer to nature. The city will become a vibrant, usable ecosystem.
