Library Research Unit of Urban Design
Library temporarily closed
The library of the Urban Planning Research Unit will remain temporarily closed.
The reason for this is the retirement of the director, Ms Helga Tschiedl, on 29 February 2020. Unfortunately, our repeatedly expressed wish for a replacement was not granted by the library management.
We are now working on an organisational model within the Urban Planning research area that is as resource-efficient as possible to make the library accessible to students and the academic staff again in a limited format in the future.
The temporary organisational model currently offers students and the review board the opportunity to make an appointment to view books and scan relevant pages on Tuesdays between 16:00 and 19:00. In this regard, as well as for the return of books that were borrowed before the current guidelines were announced, please contact the study assistance of the Urban Planning research area: emil.kranewitter@tuwien.ac.at
Please arrive punctually for your agreed appointment and let us know in good time if you are unable to keep it!
The entrance to the library is located in the corridor of the HB2 Institute, i.e. pass the main entrance of the Research Centre for Urban Planning and Design and go around the corner.
Until then, we ask for your understanding for the current situation.
