Bibliographical estate of Rudolf Wurzer
Rudolf Wurzer was Professor of Urban Planning at the Vienna University of Technology from 1959 to 1990 and City Councillor for Urban Planning in Vienna from 1976 to 1983 and had a significant influence on urban planning and urban design theory in Austria for several decades. In the course of his more than forty years of professional activity as a planner and university lecturer, he amassed an extensive library and journal collection.
The bibliographical estate, consisting of around 3,000 books and around 8,000 journals from the fields of city and architecture, urban history, urban planning and spatial planning, was catalogued and processed between 2005 and 2007 as part of the "Wurzer Ex_libris" research project funded by the University Anniversary Foundation. The collection can currently only be viewed on request.
