Tutorin
Sophia Hensel is currently studying for her master’s degree in architecture at the Vienna University of Technology, having begun the program in March 2024. She completed her bachelor’s degree in architecture at Munich University of Applied Sciences. Throughout her academic journey, she has explored architecture in diverse cultural contexts, including through field trips and design-build projects in Uganda and California. She finds it particularly motivating to design sustainable architecture in harmony with the landscape and nature as a habitat for humans, flora, and fauna.
In her master’s program, she focuses specifically on urban and landscape design, taking into account the sociopolitical challenges involved in the planning and implementation of architectural projects. In doing so, she places special emphasis on resource-efficient construction using natural materials while carefully preserving existing structures.
Sophia Hensel has been working as a student assistant in teaching since October 2025 and would like to gain an insight into research and teaching in a university context.
