Lecture and Exercise City and War
Planning in uncertain times
Today's 21st century world is characterised by global conflicts, wars and crises. The wars in the Ukraine, Syria, Gaza, Iraq and other parts of the world are characterised by millions of refugees, ruined cities and the search for livelihood shelters. But today's academic education in spatial planning, urban design and architecture pays little attention to these existentially important tasks.
The course offers students a first systematic introduction to understanding, planning and building in endangered regions in an international context.
